About FuMMA

The Voice of Kerala's Furniture Industry

For over a decade, FuMMA has served as the cornerstone organisation for furniture manufacturers and merchants across Kerala — building bridges, raising standards, and creating opportunities.

Our History

Built on collaboration, grown through trust

The Furniture Manufacturers and Merchants Welfare Association of Kerala (FuMMA) was founded with a clear purpose: to bring together the diverse stakeholders of Kerala's furniture industry under one umbrella. What began as a regional initiative has evolved into a respected trade body with presence across all fourteen districts of the state.

From its early days of district-level coordination to organizing FIFEX — now recognised as India's largest finished furniture exhibition — FuMMA has consistently demonstrated its commitment to the sector's growth. The association has also been at the forefront of community service, from flood relief efforts to green initiatives and charitable furniture drives.

Today, FuMMA stands as a symbol of industry unity, representing hundreds of verified businesses and serving as the primary platform for trade, advocacy, and professional development in Kerala's furniture ecosystem.

Industry Impact

Contributing to Kerala's Furniture Legacy

Kerala has long been celebrated for its woodworking heritage — from traditional teak craftsmanship to contemporary modular design. FuMMA plays a pivotal role in preserving this legacy while modernising the industry for today's market demands.

Through FIFEX and regional trade programmes, we connect local manufacturers with national retailers, architects, and project contractors. Our training initiatives help members adopt new technologies, improve production efficiency, and meet evolving consumer expectations.

Beyond commerce, FuMMA invests in the communities that sustain our industry — supporting disaster relief, educational institutions, and environmental programmes that ensure the furniture sector grows responsibly for generations to come.
